Home health care for middle-aged and older chronic illness patients is suboptimal. Patient outcomes are challenged by several factors.
Patients can get confused on which medications to take and when to take them. This can include food intake times prior and after dosing.
Getting to doctor’s appointments and treatments is often a hinderance to optimal patient care.
In-home caregivers are on the “honor system” as opposed to a simple trust but verify system
VIRMA is an AI based intelligent ecosystem of services designed to improve medical outcomes of middle aged and older chronically ill patients. VIRMA includes a medicine dispensing machine with an interactive touch display for inputting information and a larger display unit with a built-in camera for two-way video interactions.
1
Reminds patients when it is time to eat prior to taking medicine, dispenses the right medication at the right time, and verifies that the patient has taken their medicine.
2
Provides 24-hour monitoring from wearable devices/sensors, in-home sensors, and conversational AI-based interactions. Status and alerts can be sent to care providers and approved family members.
3
Verifies home care personnel and the patient via two-factor authentication (facial, voice, and/or thumb reading).
Optimal intelligently lowers energy costs by up to 60% by identifying, monitoring, controlling, and maintaining your key electrical equipment. We manage any engineering, procurement, and construction for our clients.

When a care giver is scheduled to be with the home-based patient, VIRMA could request to speak with the Caregiver to verify that they provided the care required and store any comments or notes for the caregiver. This enables a common log of care giving even if the caregiver changes over time. Through visual and voice recognition VIRMA thus provides a unique level of fraud protection within the caregiver and health insurance industry.
Using Bluetooth and/or WiFi connectivity VIRMA interacts with in home sensors which could include temperature, movement tracking, urine analysis, home treatment machines (like home dialysis units), and others. Using AI, VIRMA adds that information with normal state to determine potential anomalies in health condition.
Utilizing conversational AI, VIRMA will develop a friendly relationship with the patient and will as questions regarding the patient’s health and well-being. The patient’s response will be recorded and tracked. Using AI, VIRMA adds that information with normal state to determine potential anomalies in health condition.
For many home-based patients the feeling of isolation is a challenge. VIRMA can enable virtual support groups to be formed either based on illness type or other criteria. These groups could be self-facilitating and/or facilitated by a social worker, medical personnel, or other caregiver personnel.
Virma can display information on the patient’s existing medicines or for new medicines/services that may help provide the patient with more positive outcomes to their current treatment plan and/or future plans. The patient can then have a more informed discussion with their care team.
